B.M.

aka KIM WOOJIN "MATTHEW"

Born: 1992

Leadership: 2014 - present

Born to Kim Youngjae in 1992, Woojin - or Matthew, as he was more commonly called - grew up a happy child. Blessed by the ignorance of youth, he was (of course) unaware of his father's real business. When his father was murdered and his mother was hospitalised, he didn't understand what either of those things meant; and how could he, he was only seven years old.

It was his older brother, Michael's death that had stuck with him through the years. He was the one who had found him in his room, on that fateful night in the year 2000, eyes glassy, lying in a pool of his thick, sticky blood. He was the one who had called the police.

But the police didn't do anything - he realised that several years later, halfway across the world - they had written Michael's murder off as a suicide.

In 2001, Matthew's uncle, Min Dong-yul, took him and his mother back with him to Los Angeles, and he lived there for ten years. During this time, Dong-yul cared for his sister, who couldn't speak and could barely move - not since that morning when she had woken up drenched in her husband's blood.

But in truth, Dong-yul had ulterior motives: over the course of a decade, he inundated Matthew with thoughts of Falls Bay, of his hometown, his father's assets that ATEEZ had taken away from him...they were his property now, his right, and he deserved to take them back, to make them pay for what they did to his family.

After a lacklustre two years at college, in which he studied psychology, Matthew finally took his uncle's words to heart. In 2012, he returned to Korea, taking up residence in the East side of Falls Bay, where remaining KARD members welcomed him with open arms.

It didn't take long for him to regain leadership for his family. In 2014, following a misunderstanding with the boss at the time, Matthew beat him to death with his bare hands, and with one stony glare at the other members, was appointed leader of KARD.
